Ebara’s History
The EBARA Corporation is an international Japanese business, with a unique history beginning with Issey Hatakeyama, its founder. In 1912, the Inokuty Type Machinery Office was established based on Prof. Ariya Inokuchi’s theory regarding centrifugal pumps. As time changed and decades passed, EBARA maintained the philosophy of Netsu to Makoto (passion and dedication) in their operations. To this day, their ethos is kept alive by their more than 16000 employees around the globe.
EBARA has a vast worldwide presence, comprised of over 80 subsidiaries, 50 of which are consolidated companies spread across the globe. They specialise in water treatment, environmental engineering systems and precision machinery.
Ebara Europe
EBARA’s story began in Europe, especially in Italy, with the establishment of EBARA Italia in 1989. Subsequently, it evolved into EBARA Pumps Europe in 1998. The company’s headquarters first resided in Brendola before its move to Gambellara, Vicenza province, in 2018.
The brand’s size and reach has expanded over the years, with a network of branches and Resident Managers that span the entire continent of Europe, from north to south, east to west, with some located in Russia and South Africa.
EBARA Pumps Europe established itself as a major producer of electric pumps for the industrial and domestic European markets through the opening of its Cles plant (Trento province) in 1992. Located in one of Europe’s premier manufacturing centres for stainless steel pumps, it supplies pump systems for applications including drainage, wastewater treatment, industry, water supply and civil construction.
